Getting Closer To A New Truck

Well it is back in again! I talked to the Ford rep he said that it is getting rediculus. The air conditioning compressor did fail so they are replacing it
also the seat belt has been replaced. they are still waiting for Ford to tell them what to do about the soot in the pipes, and the regen issues. They ordered a new pig tail for the trailer brakes. They did some test, hours on the truck and the miles to check something. they said I have 15,800 on the truck and the math shows 16,100 so what ever that is telling them? Idle time maybe? still should not cause soot I would think

Can't wait to order a Job 3

Holy Crap! Tom, I thought I was unlucky, but what a nightmare. Hang in there and get your new truck. I had a bad F350 that I traded out and this truck is flawless, so keep the faith.

Mine is a 4/07 and I'm in discussion with ford about how they are going to compensate me.They just offered me the 7yr 200,000mile diesel plus plan but I did not take it yet as I want to thinf about it.They called as I was at my dealer getting some issues checked and as soon as I hung up with ford the service manager came over and said now I need a new master cylinder.I just had my engine replaced last week.I only have 5600 miles on it now.Needless to say I looked at a new 350 at the lot that was a job#3.

I agree. They offered me $32,000 but they said the problems didn't bother them because it is covered under warranty.I guess they would sell it to some unknowing innocent consumer.I do love my truck (when it is running). The job#1s just have alot of problems (some don't though). The service manager and diesel tech agreed that the job#3s are way better.I'm awaiting a call from ford tommorrow. We'll see what comes of that.

$31,000 seems a little low, so I hope that Ford helps you out getting a new truck, and hopefully it works out better than your current one.

Tom, I hope they do right by you. Sounds like you're staying with the blue oval.

I am trying but they have made it hard to keeep the faith! I did tell the Ford guy that I get GMC a-plan and I have called the dealer to prep me a duramax to test drive.

But that would be the most extreame case!!

I am a SuperDuty man! But maybe that will shake them up

Tom must have most of the problems in one truck to make up for the rest of us. Sorry bud, good luck. I would think Ford will work hard to make it right for you.

I'd walk into the dealer on a busy weekend with a ghetto blaster playing Lemon Tree by Jimmy Buffet. Maybe then that would induce some positive feed back a little quicker....

Too bad and I hope it all works out for you in your favour. Then you may want to suggest compensation regarding undo hardship or nuisance.....The dealer and the Ford Corp people get paid while you deal with their junk on your own precious time....Why do they get away with it?
