I have a 1994 F-150 with a 302, and i am going to replace the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor (all stock) today. I heard that it is better to use the same firing order as the 351w in a 302. Is this true? I know i could find out through trial and error but if someone could fill me in on the truth it would save me some time under the hood (its cold as hell in MI). I appreciate it.
You have to use the firing order the motor is designed to use, and in your case that should be 13726548. There should be a sticker on or near the fan shrowd with emissions info and the firing order if the front end sheet metal is original.
the firing order that you wanna use all depends on the cam...for example if you have a 302 and the cam you are using is for a 351w like i am, you have to use the firing order of the 351w.
What the blazes is simple about the imperial system of weights and measures? In metric everything is on a scale of 10.. weights, distance, volume. I think it's about time the US completed thier transition to independance from the British Crown and converted to Metric.
Of course... that's coming from a guy that still doesn't like using a metric measureing tape.. and how long has Canada been on the Metric system?
