Not sure on the exact fittings but the hose must meet a minimum of 4000 PSI at 300 degree's. Thats all just my opinion but the pressures can be 2500-3000 and temps very close to 300 with engine temp at 200 and a turbo sitting close.

I installed mine 3 days ago. Things seem a little quieter, a smoother idle/early acceleration. More balanced...the truck, not me. After doing some research and reading many threads here, I did this one: http://members.***.net/kcmdieselperformance/ford.htm
High quality, simple install, here in 3 days, cost: $55
After reading the info that TJ states above, it seems like money well spent. Also, there are a couple that run a bit less that I see good things written about.

High pressure crossover. High pressure oil is pumped through both heads to work the injectors but the sensor is only on one side so the computer only sees the pressure on the one side. The pipe conects the two sides toghther so the pressure on both sides are balanced better.

Installed one of these EXACT ones in my truck. Got it from that site...(just make sure if you get it there you scroll down to 94-97 HPX) took 20 Min to install (including cleaning and putting tools away). Just don't expect delivery conformation or anything from that site, HPX just shows up bout a week later. Directions are EXCELLENT too.

Does anyone know what size the end fittings (or oil galleyplugs) are on this mod?

They are a # 5 ORB, (5/16 ORB) ( o-ring boss) 1/2" x 20.
If you are good with a tube bender you can bend your own tube and either Parker or Swagelok makes the fittings you will need. I will try to dig up some part #'s for you. Or you can usr a 4 wire hyd. hose assembly, that will work, just won't look as neat.

The part numbers would be great. I have done a bunch of bending and I like the look of stainless weave. Haven't decided which to do yet, but I'd rather do it myself than pay some $60 + for a short piece of tubing.

Thanks,
Don

OK, Swagelok dosn't make it, but Parker does.
The parker # is "5 F5BU"
The tube end is 5/16 tube and the port end is #5 ORB
The fittings are good for 5000 psi. They are a flairless bite type fitting, so you don't have to flair the tube.
Find your nearest Parker Hydraulic Dealer or if you want I can get you a price.
