Blizzard plows all the way!!!
I run an 810. pics and info here
http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561916034mzUvJF

I have plowed with Boss V-plows (part time job) for three years prior to putting this plow on my truck. The Blizzard 810 will move way more snow than a v-plow.

The boss are nice plows but both the v's and 810 are pricey if you just doing your own driveway. Blizzard also makes an 8 and 7.5 foot straight blade.

I think an 810 installed is near 5K if I remember correctly. I will check the price sheet at the shop tomorrow. They used to be cheaper before Blizzard sold out to Douglas Dynamics who also own Meyer and Fisher.

BTW you can find the used for much better prices. The hitch and mount brackets are an easy install with no welding.

Maybe in your neck of the woods, it hasn't really snowed up here since the end of December.

Craigslist usually has quite a few plows listed. I'd say go with at least an 8' straight blade. I have a 7.5' and it's too narrow unless I plow in a straight line without the blade angled. It's better than shoveling though.

I have a Boss standard 7.5' blade. I dont have alot of experience with it as since I bought it has only snowed twice, imagine that, but I really works nice. They are very well biult blades and easy to hook up.

pullinair is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Fisher "minute mounts". Even the first gen were light years ahead of every one else. THe minute mount II is top of the line and IMO the best. I installed a lot of plows in my day with tons of customer reveiws all ranking fisher ahead of the rest. THe size is up to you. An 8' or 8'6 will suit a 250 just fine in the hd series. my .02. When you are done plowing, you are done. There is no looking at the head unit like on a Meyers while you drive around town. The mount on a fisher is clean and simple.

Here is a 8.5' straight blade with no mounting hitch, vehicle wiring or light bar. A light bar, vehicle wiring and hitch might run $600-$800 but that is just a guess. The hitch mount for my truck was $400.

There are also two 810's listed but neither have mounting and wiring for a Superduty and they are both on the east coast. Search "Blizzard snow plow"
