Exclamation Great BIG tires on a stock BII...fit?

I was just given a brand new set of LT285/70 R17 Buckshot Maxix Mudder tires that are mounted on Ford allor wheels. They still have the little rubber dangles on them from when they were made. Her kids took them off of a new truck for even bigger tires.

Is there any chance that these monsters will fit my unmodified 87 Bronco II 4x4? If not, how much modification would be needed to make them work?

You need wheels with your bolt pattern, and a panel cutter or sawzall.

This is not a worthwhile effort.

This shows a 4 1/2" lift for 31s, the tires you have are almost 33s.

Probably cause a lot of wear and tear on your axles and drive train not to mention your little engine.

THere are alot of threads with this same topic.

There are a few ways you can do this. A 6 in suspension lift, or 4in sus and 3in body, or 3in body and some fender cutting, or 4in sus and fender cutting. Those are about the only ways you will get them to fit.

Thanks for all of the great information. I forgot the extra load on the old engine that these would cause.

I think I'll just sell the tires/wheels to someone that can use them and buy a decent set of tires for the stock rims.
