Holman Moody Intake

Hello. I have a Holman Moody 2x4 intake and cannot find any numbers on it. It just has the HM stamp between the carbs. Can anyone tell me how to identify and possibly how much its worth? Greatly Appreciated!

That's a medium riser 427 intake with the carburetors, linkage and fuel log.. That's a VERY nice piece that would be worth a lot to the right person.

Those carburetors could easily be recolored and rebuilt to look as good as new. A couple of years ago I built a 427 for a customer. He had a 1963 engine with a '63 intake and the '65 and later carburetors like your intake. He wanted fuel injection so we used the intake manifold with a dual Fitech setup. He sold the carburetors to somebody for about $1500 I think.

Looks like it might have been on a boat with that flame arrestor looking air cleaner. Note the crankcase vent extention as well.

Smile its a Buddy Bar, I think

66, it looks just like my C7ZX manifold. I believe they wee cast by Buddy Bar. Ford, H-M, Shelby and others sold them over the counter. Dual plane, dual 4 barrel, medium riser port size. Its a nice intake. Do you have the vacuum balance for the secondaries ? Some have had trouble with this intake by trying to run generic Holleys on top. But your Holleys can be recalibrated if they aren't already spot on. DinosaurFan

Thanks Dinosaur. I'll have to look and see if I have that vacuum balance in my dad's old shop. Appreciate the info!

66, see the small nipples that are covered on each of the vacuum diaphram covers ? there should be a vacuum line that goes between them, to balance the secondary throttles. DF

Odd there is only one water port on front. Maybe for something that doesn't need a heater?
