Central Junction Box

Hey guys first post...
I took my 03 F350 6.0L to the dealer with a problem and they said I need to replace my Central Junction Box because it has a short in it from a remote Starter that I had installed.. Is this a difficult thing to replace and where can I get a part from other than the dealer?
Thanks

Hi pennery, welcome to FTE!

I am not quite sure what a "central junction box" is. Do they mean the main fuse panel?

If the wiring of a remote starter is causing the problem, shouldn't that be repaired instead of the truck electrical components? I find this very odd.

I just picked it up from the dealer and yes it is the panel that all of the fuses plug into on one end and a bunch of wires on the other.. The remote starter apparently caused a short in the box that is unrepairable so I have to replace it. I am looking at about $500 on top of the $200 diagnosis..
