i dont know if anyone makes such a kit, but it would probably be cheaper to put a 460 in it... just my $0.02

well most folks that make swap kits do so for resoanable swaps that lots of folks would want to do. 1st thing to put a gm engine in a ford would be oil pan clearance then youd have to get good with a torch and welder to fab up mounts for the engine and the trans. then after it was in there youd have to figure out how to hook up everything. so it would be easyer to put your chevy engine in a chevy and sell your ford to some one that cares about fords or put a 460 in the ford and be happy

then sell the ford and buy a chevy or my personal favorite sell the engine and buy a 460.

You will have to make up motor mounts tranny mounts headers possible driveshaftand God know what other fitment and electrical issues you will have. If its 4wd the transfer case will be the wrong side drop.

Ill try to dig up the "why 460s are better engines than 454s" website

Yep You're right. Not happy about it. Few things make me sicker than to see an old sweet looking '37 ford pickup with a Chebby in it. I usually make it a point to talk to those guys.

While you're at it put some shorty headers on it, upside down, through the hood Too(you know for the street).

Anything can be done but not everything should.

Is it because there more aftermarket parts for them? Not really
Is it because they are cheaper? I don't think so
Is it because they are easier to work on? Then keep it all chebby

I just think it's funny, I am really not trying to personally blast you, I just have strong feelings about putting a Monkey heart in a Man.

Like I said above there's alot of classic ford trucks with those it. You may get a better response in the engine swap section
