Changing Rear Shocks

Where should you place the jack to change the rear shocks? The manual shows on the axle by the shock bracket but wouldn't that put tension on the shock and make it hard to install the new ones? Thanks for the help.

No need for a jack you can compress the shocks yourself. The shocks hold no weight they only dampen the ride to make it smooth.

Can you work around the tire to do this? Seems like it would be in the way.

You could work around it. Rear shocks are just sitting there. Unbolt them and put the new ones on and your good to go.
