We built two today, both CCabs (I think thats the only way they will come) and both 6.5' box. It may be offered with a 5.5' box. I'll post when I see them. We are running six more trucks tomorrow but I can't remember what trim levels. I'll keep you in mind.

Meh, I can park my 350 crew pretty easily any where I want, it is a short box but I've got a trick to parking that makes it easy, plus I look for wide open parking where ever I go

What do you think about the Platinum grill?

Is this truck the replacement for the LT?

Anyone Left?

Dee-Ann Durbin and Tom Krisher writing for the AP reported that Ford Motor Co. will offer buyout and early retirement packages to 54,000 U.S. hourly workers in an effort to cut costs and replace those leaving with lower-paid workers. Thursday's announcement came as Ford said it narrowed its losses in 2007 but warned that the outlook for U.S. sales in 2008 remains grim.

Is there going to be anyone left? Man, who is going to build the new 09' F-150's if they're retiring all these workers?

Derek, the Ford media release article says the Platinum model will have chrome bumpers. Yet, the pictures so far show only painted bumpers. Is the article wrong, or will both bumper finish options be available?

So far we have only built platinums with the painted bumpers. I'll keep my eyes open.

8' box

Hey Derek has ford thought of putting an 8' box on the crew cab. I think that would be great. That might comprimise the towing capabilites or the payload maybe thatis why they have not done this yet.
