Questions for you gurus!

Hi All,
I am new to this board and I hope you guys can help me out! I have a 460 that I dropped a rod in last week it is a 1989 external balanced engine with stock 4bbl manifold, I found a crack in the cylender that the rod broke in so its trash! I purchased a 1996 Longblock from a guy for 980 bucks no core, I think this is a very good deal... The questions I have are these:
1-Is there any difference in the block between these years?
2-The long block has heads made for a FI system, is there a way to convert this to 4bbl type? are there manifolds for this?
3-Should I just put my heads off the old block on here and use my intake that I have?
4-Where can I buy an oil pan for a decent price?
5-What is the deference between the engines that are internally and externally balanced, other than the 2y and 3y Cranks?
Thanks a ton!

John

Im thinking you are going to have to use the old heads to use a carb manifold. Make sure you freshen them up before installing on a tight shortblock.
