Sct Livewire

Are sct livewire units compatible with different engine types? I am looking at one on ebaythat states it is for a 6.4L but i have a 7.3L. Also if it is VIN locked how much does it cost to unlock it?

Livewires are compatible for any Ford vehicle 1996 or upbove, generally speaking.

Each Software package is vehicle and PCM strategy specific. A 7.3L tuner WILL NOT work on a 6.4L-it'll need reprogramming.SCT charges around $150 to unlock the tuner.
