Well, it looks like I may have the worst mpg here. I just figured it out the other day and it's actually worse then I thought it was.
Mostly backroads, but also some town and a little highway. I average about 7.5-8 mpg.

7.5L

4.10 gears

1990 F150 4x4 302 E4OD RCLB 3.55 LS 235 75 R15s was getting 17 MPG backroad and highway driving but now that me and dad have gotten use to it our pedal foot is a little heavier and we now get 14-15 MPG. Goes to show how much you loose when you get on it.
1989 F250 4x4 351W ZF5 4.10LS RC LB heavy flatbed 285 75 r16s all damn near bald gets 10MPG no matter what. It even gets 10MPG hauling the 275 Gallon water tank. I bet once I put the new valve cover gaskets on it might go up a to 10.5 but only if I am lucky. I think that flatbed is just killing it.
No longer have this truck but 1993 F250 4x4 460 bored and stroked to 514 ZF5 4.10LS F450 rear springs D60 SAS extended cab long bed 285 75 r16s 8mpg downhill but that thing was so fun to drive you couldn't stay out of the pedal.
All these are backroad and highway driving and very very little city driving.

1990 F350 CrewCab DRW
460 with Banks Power Pack
zf5 Trans
410 in the rear end
Fresh Synth fluid in the rear end and synth atf in the trans, 5-30 in the engine with lucas Zinc additive.
Have only had a trailer hooked to it.
9 in town towing, this was heavy stop and go
11.9 Highway Pretty flat ground Central Oregon to Central CA
Worst was 8 pulling Donner Pass on I80 with 5k worth of load and trailer doing 55mph in 4th gear.
Removing the Cat it is original and replacing it going to see what that does

Plowing in 4wd about 5 to 6 mpg. I have gotten less in heavier snows. Local driving to town with plow attached about 30 miles one way cruising at 60 to 65 about 8 to 9 mpg not bucking the wind. Same driving without plow on for that distance is about 10 to 12 mph. Longer trips doing 63 mph with cruise and minimal stops 12.5 to 14.5 mpg. With gas prices as low as they are I enjoy driving my truck more often even with the plow attached.

Here in Brazil we need more fuel economy...
F-1000 1995 - Regular cab - short bed. (2 meters)
MWM 229 3.9L Diesel - Clark 2615b transmission - 3.07 in the rear end - 255/75R15 or some like 30".
Stock - ("Stock" have the same meaning of original?)
22 miles per gallon in the town..
Near then 26 miles per gallon in haighway
SLOW and STEADY

Hi guys, my name's David, I've been perusing this forum off and on for about a year, maybe more.
1992 F-150 SC SB 2wd, 5.8l, E40D, 3.55s, 31/10.50/15 Hancooks, 180k miles, 10mpg no matter how I drive.
The only time it changes is when I've got a heavy load in it, then it goes up to 12/city, 14/hwy.
