Leaded or unleaded?

So I haven't posted here for a while, but it's almost time for me to try and start my project.
I've got a 1960 F350 with a the straight six 223 engine and I was wondering if it would take leaded or unleaded fuel. Maybe it's a newbie question but better safe than sorry.

the old stuff is supposed to run leaded but you are'nt gonna find any of it any more . i was running lead additves in my flatty but on the advice of my freinds on here and on another site i've just been running unleaded straight in it with no problems . the lead offered protection for your valve seats . so if you're ultra paranoid might i suggest you pull the head and have hardened seats in it ? oh and i can only get fuel laced with growing amounts of e-85 in it 'round here and so far no negative effects .

The old Fords came with hardened valve seats so you shouldn't have to worry about the effects of unleaded gas. I am a little concerned about the alcohol they're trying to shove down our throats, or should I say carburators?

u can run unleaded just fine in all motors w/o the hardened seats as long as u r not running the motor under extreme conditions such as towing, hot weather, extreme grades etc.

i had an old timer freind of my grandfathers and people here and other sites tell me to skip it , i was wasting my money on lead subs . ollie used to race flatty's in the day with grandpa and would run 'em with 180 degree cranks and all out so i'm assuming the ol' boy knows his stuff .
