America simply lost sight of one simple yet GLARING fact. A truck is a tool, much like any vehicle...and as such it is good for certain things...but acting as a commuter vehicle isn't one of them. When they realize this finally, it will hurt Ford and the other manufacturers...but they are going to survive, I am sure.

My '05 5.4 4x4 SuperCrew gets 19 cruisin down the interstate at about 65 (empty of course). Fuel mileage not only has to do with weight, power, and wind resistance, it has a tremendous amount to do with the right foot. And mine is pretty weak!
That's why I get decent mileage.
I will always have a truck...I need it to tow my travel trailer. Currently I work from home, so I don't have to commute, but if I did have an extended commute, I would purchase something like a Fusion for commuting. With the gas savings, I could nearly make the payment and have a free car.
