tranny troubles

i have a 1966, f-100 with a 352v8, the tranny i think is a warner t-18, 4 sp manual. i am about to replace the clutch. but i would like some input from you guys, you have helped me more than anybody. when you drive the truck, sometimes the clutch peddle sticks to the floor when i put it in neutral. also when in neutral, after letting off clutch there is a roaring vibration, which a can pat the clutch and it minimises. sometimes while shifting i cannot get it into 3rd gear. the clutch has always engauged with little travel to the floor. in other words, it catches high toward the driver not the floor. i will change the clutch out as i suspect that the clutch is worn and so is throw out bearing. one last thing, when you get the truck up to a speed of 55 to 60 mph there is a vibration like the tranny or drive shaft universal is not right. after going past 60 mph or greater the vibration minimises. since i will pull the tranny to get to the clutch, now would be a good time to see where my problem lies. and wether or not to change out the tranny, i cannot find a warner 4sp any where that i can afford, as i am just a ordinary joe with little money and i cannot put the money in it that i would like to. can you please help me. jeff

Here are a few links with rebuild parts if you need them. Persoanlly I would rebuild the T-18 to be sure everything internal is fine. Changing the bearings and syncros will help extend the life.

The pedal sticking at the bottom and roaring noise are the throwout bearing. But the throwout bearing, clutch, and resurfacing the flywheel should all be done at the same time.

and the cheaper place to get the bearings and syncro's...
