Clark 4 speed?

Hello everyone, I am debating on buying another project the project is a Ford F250 4x4 with a perkins diesel engine, and a Clark 4 speed. The current owner says its a 4 speed not 5 can you help me ID this transmission. Just trying to figure out a little more on the transmission before I commit to another project. Here is the photo Thanks in advance, Mike.

There's no Clark 4 speed listed in the 1964/72 Ford truck parts catalog, but that doesn't mean this isn't one. What's the transmissions original application? What are the case markings?

Clark 4 speed

I unfortunately don't have the casting numbers, since the vehicle is not mine yet. It still is with the current owner. The current owner said the Perkins 6 Diesel is from a marine application, and the transmission he has no idea. So I really don't know, more than that.

Looks a little bigger than a T98, which looked a lot like a T18, right?

From what I can see on the internet, you can get rebuild kits for lots of Clarks.

If it shifts and otherwise works, it would be the least of your worries buying this truck, imo.

Thanks for all the help everyone, in trying to ID this tranny, it does shift smooth according to the owner, just top speed is 60-65. Didn't want to jump into something without having a general idea of what I am getting into. Oh yeah its a 1969 Crewcab shortbed.

Let's see, it's a 39 year old 4x4 with visible underbody rust, a swapped in Perkins and un-id'd obsolete Clark trans, which might could even be non-synchro and it tops out at a driver license saving 65mph.

What else, pray tell, is there to know.....
