New Truck Delays?

I ordered a new 350 over 3 weeks ago. The dealer keeps saying the plant is not working or shut down. Now advised that it will be here third week of March. Sure seems like a long time to get my truck, over 3 months. Dealer is a good guy, I have ordered over 5 Ford trucks all diesel in the past. Anyone else having this problem?

Took 10 1/2 weeks for mine. Not sure if I understand your situation, but first of Jan to mid-March would be about the same, not 3 whole months.

from what i understand the plant builds in shifts. job 1, job 2 ect... according to my dealer, u should get your ordered truck in 6-8 weeks, unless u catch them in between builds. then it could be up to 3-4 months

I ordered mine Nov. 29 and it is on a train headed to Ohio. Should have my F450 next week. Ford usually closes down for two weeks over the Holidays.

I ordered a 250KR on Dec 18 and got it on Jan 19. Love the truck.

I placed an order for a 250 XLT Sport Sept. 15, it arrived Jan. 25 worth the wait GREAT TRUCK !!

I ordered my 450 on 11/29 and it was delivered on 1/25. IIt took less than 2 months and this period included the holidays. My truck was at the beginning of job3, so there should not be a job change any time soon. Youir dealer should be able tio give you a web sit you can use to watch the progress of your order. You will be able to see when it is ready to build, when it is built and follow its progress on the train to your dealer. That was cool. BTW, I love the truck.

I ordered an F450 on 1/14 and as of this morning the dealer said he hasn't gotten any info on build or availablity date. Sometime in April would be okay with me. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

It is on a train as of yesterday. They did some extra stuff to mine....a long story..but it should be great

I got approx build date a few days after I placed my order. I would press the dealer, if you feel like it.

I ordered my 08 F350 on Sept 25 and took delivery last Saturday 1/26/08. There are a lot of factors that impact build times. Dealer alotment and order priority seem to be key.

I ordered mine on 1/14/08 I got my vin # today and they said it should be delivered 2/11/08

I ordered mine on Nov. 20th And the dealer told me straight up "do not expect it for at least 12 - 16 weeks " I waited for 5 weeks then called them to see about a vin #. NO LUCK, then every 2 weeks there after. The last time I called was Jan. 25th and they told me the truck showed up the day before, and they still didn't have a vin # until they walked their happy little ***s out and wrote it down. (9 1/2 weeks)

When I ordered mine they told me 5 to 6 weeks, so far they are on.
