2004 Expy Tin Can Noise

Looking for any Help Please???
Just bought an 04 Expy NBX 54.L. After startup and throughout run I have a weird noise coming from the rear right corner. Sounds like a half full metal can of paint thinner(when they used to be metal), expanding after it is warmed, a little later it will sound like the same can contracting. Through the whole time in the expy you can constantly hear this. I do all my own work but at a loss on this one. We love the expy and will probably always have one now. Doesn't matter if driving or sitting still. As long as shes running we get this noise.
Anyone have any ideas??? Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by your description. Could it be the heat shield over the muffler rattling?

Hey Ice

Definitely not a heat shield. Try to imagine a thin gallon metal can half full of something. If heat is applied the can would try to expand. That's the sound. If the temp of the liquid inside the can cooled it would then try to contract.
I guess it could be described a hitting a thin metel can with a stick but I think the heating and cooling sound is a better description
Thanks

Rear HVAC

Do you have rear air and Heat? Could it be the vent doors?

Yes on the rear air and heat but they are off. This thing is for sure under the truck and in the rear.
