Talking Got my new exhaust!

I got tired of hearing my old pipes rattling around under my truck. They had to be the originals. I did like the way my Cherrybomb sounded, but I felt it was time for an upgrade. My brother had his truck done last year at a local muffler shop that does custom work. So I went there.

They put 2.5" pipes, a 40 series Flowmaster, and nice big polished tips!

What do you guys think?

Its a little quieter than I expected but it still sounds great! Its a little louder than my cherrybomb, and the tone is much deeper.

I see you are from NJ also, I was looking at the exact same set up up north. What did they charge you for that setup?

Thats cheap!!! I got prices from $600 up for the same thing. These guys are nuts. I may have to take the 70 mile drive down there.

Yes, they are both 2.5" in and out. You can see they adapted to the front of the muffler because the inlet was 3", but the outlets were 2.5"

And yes, I thought that was a pretty good price. Sometimes you never know with mechanics and shops.

Does the throttle response seem any different?

You replaced 2 1/4 inch pipe (I think...thats what they usually came equiped with) with 2 1/2 inch pipe.

It probly woulda flowed better if you had had them run 3 inch in and 2.5 out.....375 isn't bad but the shop around the corner from me only quotes 250 for the same setup.....I used to know the mechanic that did the exhaust...now he works for the county and they don't have anyone decent in there....Later I bet she sounds good

........i can say this about's the FlowMaster for which i have on, it take's like 2week's of driving and then you will notice a bit MORE louder of a muffler. . . . . ........i noticed this for having about's 200 miles later of driving upon the Newly_Muffler installed; this thing was really on the Quiet-side type of muffler......but now after 585 miles, it's got a goood rumble to it's sound........but i only have it with single in and out; pretty much would like to have it done over like your setup.....
