71 f100 shortbed 4x2 weight?

Hey guys,

I love to badger you guys with questions about my new truck!

I am wondering what the rough weight of my truck is. It actually feels pretty light weight.

Its a 71 F-100 short bed, 2wheel drive, 302/c4. It has 15" aluminum wheels as well.

Any ideas on curb weight? My last ride was a 95 F-150 reg cab long bed, which was much heaver. When i put the f-100 on the lift it looks tiny but i think the sheetmetal on this truck is abajillion pounds heaver.

Shipping weight: 3,540 lbs.

Ford didn't offer styled aluminum wheels till 1977, and then only on F100/150's.

Production wheels are steel.

The best way is to just weigh the truck. Go to a public scale and see what it weighs. I have never weighed a F-100 but I do know my 76 2wd F-250 Supercab is 5,630 lbs at the scale.

Hmm i will see if there is a scale around here.

Thanks for the input guys!

Aluminum wheels are rather aftermarket!

I weighed my 1967 F100 2wd at the publ;ic scales and subtracting my weight, it is 4000lbs. It has a 400 engine, steel wheels with 8" and 10" rims, and a C6 transmission.

Thanks guys!

I am guessing mine is weighing it at about 3950lbs, based on yours and my equipment.

Very helpful information.
