I have seen a few 97-03 f150's have plows on them. All varying though some Western, blizzard, boss. I personally have a Boss plow and really like it. But i know some people that have had western's and really like them. Its really your call.
Also, forgot to tell you that it wouldnt hurt to look at multiple dealerships. I looked at two dealerships and the first one wanted $3475 for the plow and the wiring harness. The second wanted $3950 for the plow and harness but i talked him down to $3475 because he was closer to my house. Good luck.
Great deal on a Western, you would need a bracket for your F150 though. I put an add in the forum by the top of this section (thanks Talyn). PM me for pictures.

Hi my name is Rich, I am a cornerholic..........
I would highly recomend a composite material for your f150 due to the problems it will be on the front TTB.
The TTB susspension just isnt' the best for plows. Its a performance susspension, not a workhorse.
Edit
Wait, I think that ford moved to a front susspension like the chevy in 97 f150 didnt' they?
97 f150 was horrible. My uncils always has so many problems.
