I think it's got something to do with the radio. Can you plug it back in because mine stopped working. :-)

It's a Shock Sensor for an Aftermarket alarm. The dial is to adjust how sensitive it is.

If you cut it out, the truck will explode.

Lol, I will get the truck back this afternoon, I'll check to see if I can get it out. Hopefully I can see some sort of writing on it. I will let you all know.

Ok, so I consulted a friend who has been installing car audio/video/alarms for many years now. Right away he said that it used to be a part of a alarm/security system specifically shock sensor, therefore the dial for sensitivity (red part on the side of the blue barrel looking thing.)

So bgalaxy67 was right on.

I agree its a shock sensor for a car alarm the dealer removed before reselling the truck. I have never seen a blue one like that though. I'd be interested in what brand it was. Also attaching it to the wiring harness is a bad idea, you want to mount it to something solid as it will be a lot more accurate at sensing shocks to the vehicle.

I want to say my clarion had a blue one. Or this other cheesy Remote Start I bought awhile back. I'm pulling the cheesy one this weekend for a Viper 5900 so I'll check then
