429 Truck pull motor

dp

I paid 100 dollars for a set. The guy selling them also guarentted them too, which turned out to be a good thing, because one of the rods, my machine shop dude could not get to aling with its cap. So I just talked to him and he said no problem and sent me another out to replace it.

I had a hard time trying to find a good set around where I live for under 100.

then after you buy the rods you need to factor in the cost of having them resized, and I am also having my entire rotating assembly balanced(crank, rods, pistons). But that is probably overkill for a street engine. I am doing this cause I plan on running 250+ shot of nitrous and spinning to about 6k.

This combo will hopefully hold me over til I become rich one day and can afford a good stroker kit, and aluminum heads. But until then this should put me in the 10's in my mustang.
