Low beam problem!

I have lost my low beams on both headlights. Its not the bulbs and I don't see in the owners manual any info regarding a fuse. Are these on a fusable link or some kind of circuit breaker?

Many times when you lose the low beams, it is the bulb.

I thought it was unlikely that both bulbs would go at the same time but I replaced them anyway - didn't help. I think that I have a defective relay module located in the power control center under the hood. I don't think I will be able to find a replacement at 11 PM so I will get a replacement tomorrow.

Now its getting weird. I realized that my Mustang uses the same relay module as the Tribute so I swapped it out but the lights still didn't work. I put the original module back in place and then replaced a tail light that also wasn't working.

Then the low beams worked!! Huh? I can't figure out what is going on. How can a tail light affect the head lights?

If I remembeer right, the lights are switched on and off with their ground source. I believe there is a 15 amp fuse (for the hot feed) for each side located @ the left shock tower. I found this out when I put '06 projectors in my '02

BTW I did spell that 3rd word right

You are correct. I checked both fuses and they were OK. That is when I figured it might be the relay but that wasn't it either. The lights came on after i replaced a tail light that wasn't working. Now the weird thing is that the bulb I replaced looked OK but the new tail light worked and then, magically, so did the low beams. Gremlins!
