The Pitured truck is not a complete Sand box.But the 1 I know of r 78 79 truck so it may be.
Some didnt have the top or windows. Mine didnt . Some had sunroofs
But they had a Much more detailed sticker package . Some had western theme some space . Both trucks /bronco. Fade strips etc.
And they all came with with spoke wheels with heart shaped spokes instead. Most r loaded with cruise ect.
Basically a north eastern thing . Like the American Eagal of south fame.
I wish I had pics of mine.
A low milage 1 sold for $8000 IN Oil City area while back .

I know this is an OLD thread, but I was googling "Sandbox F150" and this thread popped up.
I know for a FACT that Ford DID have the "sandbox edition"....my uncle owned a Ford dealership in eastern Kentucky until he retired from the business in the early 80's. I distinctly remember '77 and newer sandbox editions on his lot. They were REALLY cool with custom air-brushed murals on the doors/tailgate, white wagon wheels with beefy tires and grill guards. Never remember any dual oval windows in the back of the cabs OR vinyl roofs....at least not the ones he had. Oh, they also had bed-mounted roll-bars and were either step-side or styleside.

Yep...looks about right! And I was mistaken when I said "custom airbrushed graphics"...they were obviously printed decals of "airbrushed graphics". My favorites were the stepside versions. All the ones my Uncle Clarence had were equipped with the white spoked wagon wheels with the openings between the spokes shaped like hearts. Sounds kinda dorky, but they looked cool at the time. I'd say a set of those might be worth a bit these days.
