Block Heater

Where is the block heater cord on a 2004 Escape XLT with a V6?

Do you know for certain that your vehicle has a block heater? When I look at the owners manual it gives no information as to where the cord would be located. You might have to crawl under the car to see if you can see where the heater is attached. They usually are placed where a block freeze plug would be. Good luck.

Its been 20 years since I owned a car with a block heater, but that one had a cord that came through the grill. Block heaters were quite common in the 70's and 80's but seem to fallen from favor with the advent of synthetic oil and fuel injection. I did check and they are still an option for folks who live in really really cold climates.
