Headers for 460
LAST EDITED ON 24-Oct-01 AT 08:46 PM (EST)[p]I don't know if there is a set of headers for that combo that is reasonable. The best headers for the money IMHO are L&L headers. They have 1/2" head flanges, 14 guage nickle coated tubing and 3/8" collector flanges. They are $425 and come with a lifetime warranty against rust through. I was just looking through the PAW catalog and they show a set of Hooker Super Comp engine swap headers for $379.95. I don't know if they are coated or just painted and don't know how thick the head and collector flanges are. Just remember, you get what you pay for(usualy with headers cheap price=cheap product)IMO of course.

i second the recomendation for the L&L fenderwell exit headers, they keep heat off your starter, and like he said rust warranty witrh nickel coating, thick flanges to keep from warpage which leads to blown out gaskets and leaks

I have a set of L&L's also and love them they fit great and keeps everything on the out side of the frame out of the way when working under the truck.Heddman makes a set of fenderwell headers but they are as high as the L&L's and are just painted. There is no cheap set for your truck. There was also a BIG power gain when I put the headers on my truck.
