Arrow Radiator support for a 66 F-100

Ok, here's another hard one. Where can I find a radiator support for a 66 F-100. Mine has a good bit of rust and The only one I've found in any catalogs is for a 66 4x4. Does anybody know if it will work or not. If not what can I use or where can I get one.

These are hard to find. You may need to do some searching via craigslist, ebay, the site classifieds, or patch the one you have. There was a discussion 2-3 years ago on here asking about the 64-65-66 4x4 support differences. If I remember right it came down to inner fender mounting holes and something else. I believe you can search for it in the advanced search option. Or if you have a lot of time start checking page by page for the topic.

I just found this posted by Numberdummy...

"C2TZ-16138-G .. Radiator Support

Fits: 1961/66 F250 4WD / 1961/64 F100/250 2WD / 1961/66 F350/600.

Notice that the 61-66 are 4x4 or F350-F600 trucks though.

1966 core support...redux.

The above p/n won't fit his application. *

This one will: C6TZ-16138-B .. Radiator Support ~ 1966 F100/250 2WD.

* I've read extensive threads on FTE inre to these core supports.

Several ppl have said other types can be modified to work.

Where can you go to find these. Stores, Internet? Who do you tell the part number?

LMCs is a repop and for 65 F100, F250 & 66 F250 Four wheel drives, It will not fit a 2 wheel drive without modifications.

It is a 61 to 64 core support.

No one makes a replacement 65 or a 66 2 wheel drive support.

Re: LMC. That sounds like a good idea. Problem is they do not offer them! Only for 4WD which does us 2WD guys no good at all.

Again the BASIC 61 to 64 core support that is made by obsolete and sold by everyone is easily modified to fit the 65 66 2 wheel drives.

Mods need to be done to the rad mount flanges, and add the inner apron supports. A simple job.

Or leave the rad mounts and just buy a four wheel drive radiator for a FE or Six.....and add 2 simple angles to carry the aprons.

if my memeory serves me correct...as its been a bit since Ive been down this road on here...the 65 and 6 2wd supports are seperate of each other...from what Ive been able to tell the differences are the rad. mounting which also changes the battery tray a bit...if you are a purist...IMHO anyone who can get a decent support for 250 or so oughta snag it and quick...its one of those parts I refer to as 'gold' when you find a good one...they are that tough to find. and sure make me smile when I find them too... As to where...go to the desert SW and go hunting...

a short addition...65 and 6 2wd 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks are the 2 oddballs...as Bill stated prior, the 1 tons are different.
