F150 vs F250 vs F350

Now, I know that the F350 and the F250 have higher towing capacities and heavier frames and usually larger engines. But, what are the less subtle differences? Thanks!

The F250 has the TBB front axle, the F350 comes with a straight D60, in the 4x4. Umm, some of the F250's dont have the Sterling 10.25 full floating rear, some do. I guess thats it. They all pritty much come with the same engine and trans combos, F250's can come with I6, 5.0, 5.8, 460 gas or deisel. The most F350's I have seen are 5.8, 460 gas or deisel. They all can come with auto or manual. F350's have manual hubs, most F250's also have manual, but I have seen auto hubs on a few. Im prob forgettin a few small things. Thats most of the stuff.

You'll be hard pressed to find an F250 with a 5.0L, they're VERY rare.

one of my buddies in highschool had a 89 f-250 with the 5.0 and 5 speed. but he said when towing it ran out of breath real fast, struggled big time with hills. i'm pretty sure at one point they stopped offering the 5.0, made it the 4.9, 5.8, 7.5, and 7.3(in the 250 and up).

My daily driver is in my sig. If you get one, may I also suggest a motorcycle helmet. When running empty, the bumps will drive your head right into the roof.

Not so much from what I've seen- harder to find than one with a 351 or larger engine, but not rare by any means. I've even seen a few kicking around with a 300-6 in them, though I'm not convinced the trucks came that way from the factory.

I've never seen a 350 with a 5.0 but I'll bet there are a few out there somewhere. I had also never seen a newer 350 with a TTB but found 2 of those recently (both 97's).

I haven't looked much but have never seen a F250 or F350 with the 5.0. I would think that engine would struggle just pulling the empty truck around. IMO I would stay away from an F250 or F350 with the 5.0. Around here you would get passed by a mo-ped on the hills, even empty. lol!

the F-250 5.0 trucks were fairly common especially the 87-91 years they also were the trucks with the lower GVWR not the 250"s with the 10,000 lb GVWR seems like the 92-97 are more likely to have the 5.8L or the 7.5L

Nope. Came from the factory. Ford put a lot of 300's in the F250's. You probably already know that back in the day Ford even put them in a few F600's, and many in the 250's/350's.
