I bought a Hobart yesterday.The Hobart Handler 140 Mig Welder-Output 25-140 Amp-Input 115 volts-Welds 24ga=3/16 steel-20% duty cycle@90 amps with thermal overload protection.It will be perfect for the sheet metal work.
I picked the welder up today,it's better than I thought. It will weld 1/4 inch steel. On the Hobart web site there is a welding forum. So if you don't here from me for a while when I get to useing that thing, you can probably find me there.
That's good advice for everyday.Thank's for thinking of me Zip.I signed up for the Hobart welding forum,it's going to be good.It does seem a little slow though. There is alot I can search on and find info that way, same as here.I have seen a few FTE member's over there as well.Pretty cool.
Ya it probably will.I was told the welder would come with a dvd, not!
I would send it back. Or better yet send it to me and I will make you a dvd when I give it back. No dvd ... I had a word in mind but can't spell it and I don't think I can get close enough for spellcheck to figure it out.
It would either get lost or scratched up.I found a bunch of stuff on the net,and there's a couple guy's around that will show me some trick's of the trade.
