I picked the welder up today,it's better than I thought. It will weld 1/4 inch steel. On the Hobart web site there is a welding forum. So if you don't here from me for a while when I get to useing that thing, you can probably find me there.

That's good advice for everyday.Thank's for thinking of me Zip.I signed up for the Hobart welding forum,it's going to be good.It does seem a little slow though. There is alot I can search on and find info that way, same as here.I have seen a few FTE member's over there as well.Pretty cool.

I would send it back. Or better yet send it to me and I will make you a dvd when I give it back. No dvd ... I had a word in mind but can't spell it and I don't think I can get close enough for spellcheck to figure it out.

Waiting is half the fun. Who needs a dvd anyway. You would probably lose it anyhow.

Welding with someone who knows what to do is probably better than a dvd anyway.

I'm not a good welder, but I haven't had a weld fail. Their usually really ugly, and I have to grind them down. But I always get great penetration.
