Starting Issues
|
I just got this Expedition about two weeks ago, and already running in to a small issue. I takes3-6 times for the engine to turn over to start after I intially start in the morning. Though about fuel fitler so I changed it. No problems their did cure probelm. Would still take several times to start. Now if I shut it off let it set for 30 sec. it starts fine. But after about 15+ mins or so, it would take several cranks to get it started. regardless were I had the throttle at. I can hear the fuel pump comming one. Did not have a pressure gauge, but turned key on and pressed on the shrader valve and lots fuel came out. So decide to tape on tape on the fuel pressure valve ont he fuel rail were the vaccum line is hooked up. NO help, but did remove the vaccume line coming off the intake and blew back through it. Hooked it back up engine started good??.. So let it set for 15-20 min. Seemed to start fine. Tried again. let set 15-20 min. Started good. Any you guys run into this issue. wander if their is a vacuum issue. possible canister clogged? not letting enough vaccum to open the fuel vavle on the fuel rail?
