I've had a similar noise on all my trucks. I usually spray WD40 on the hinges and the latch and it goes away for a few thousand miles. When it comes back, I do it a again. Hope this fixes your problem.

Yes, loosen the hex screws on the latch- you don't need to remove them. Then tap the latchwith something that won't mar it- I used a hammer against a piece of wood. The Latch will move- but it takes more force than you would guess. Once moved, tighten the latch up again. I had to do this on my first Superduty as the door did not align with the body of the truck and when I tured sharply to the right, the door ajar light would come on. Once I moved the latch a little, things worked properly.
