Well, it was supposed to be based on the early jaguar british racing green, but it came out lighter than that. The color is actually lighter than it appears in the pictures; there were alot of shadows on it. There might be a better picture in my albums. But, having said that, the color is a solid color from the green spectrum color charts...GS380 in the dupont books. It was laid over grey primer/sealer, so if you want to darken it up you could go with a black primer.

Well, to each his own. I've never seen another one like it and there have been plenty of offers to buy it. Though if you'd like to buy me a set of 5 spokes and ship them over I'd gladly accept. And, get this, that truck is powered by a .....chevy.

Can someone tell me why in my posting rules it says I "may not post attachments"
Your driveway may look strikingly similar to my previous post.

Hey, I started this thread to see your trucks and cars in your driveways. So that we could all get a better idea what eachother goes through to enjoy the hobby. I have two semi sized rigs in my small driveway, many of you have 1/2 tons in a similar driveway. This was to see how we all get by enjoying our old trucks in with the facilities we have. I don't care what the rig is, Ford, Chevy, Dodge, whatever, or what wheels it has, or what motor it has. This was intended to get a better feel for who we all are. Since most of cannot, or will not ever get the chance to meet up and see for ourselves in person, this is the best way for us all to see what graces eachothers homes. I want to see the neighborhoods you all live in, so I can see what your neighbors are probably like. I want everyone to be able to see that no matter what the rig is, we are all enjoying the hobby as best we can, no matter how much room, or money we all have. So, get the thread back on track, and lets see what the driveways and neighborhoods look like. If you can a street shot, great, if not, fine. Lets see the cars and trucks of yesteryear, and the conditions in which they are revived.

P3:

that is a nice color and a nice '55. I (of course) like the stock exterior. The color looks a lot like Meadow Green.

Well said Joe, lets quit bickering and get back to what's important.

Here's a driveway shot of another friendly FTE member, Albuq F-1. These pics were back in '06 after I finally got my truck driveable. Ross's truck was running but still lacking glass (Ross's truck is the good looking one)

I've actually used your truck/pictures as a reference point for alot of the stuff I was deciding (i.e. black or body color rims, grille color, and I'm still working on the interior) so that may explain the similarities. Mine is pretty similar to meadow green, but I think it is a bit darker.

Frank, you're driveway looked good. Tell your wife to get her vision checked. The outback looks excellent too. Some really good COE examples you got there. Keep up the good work of keeping these old trucks alive for our future generations to enjoy.

Not a good picture, but it's the best i have at the moment. Kia sportage beside the ford, and my '89 toyota is infront of the nissan which would be just to the right of the picture. Will try for a better picture soon.

Yeah i was gonna sell it and buy a pickup around the same year, but I've changed my mind for the moment. One of those deals that it feels like I haven't done much to the old girl, but the misses told me I would regret selling it and I would so...Found another one like it for parts so maybe she will shape up soon enough.
