At this past g2g at D's (1/26/08)... we all came up with some potential dates and locations for this 2008 year. Everyone take a look at these and your calenders and let us know what you think. ...Also taking suggestions!
Month of...
Feb.
9th- A "U-Pull it" and Lunch or breakfast (too soon to tell yet)
16th or 23rd- Lunch or dinner g2g meet (location still undetermined)
March 1st- "U-Pull it" and Lunch or breakfast
22nd- Dreher State Park (Lake Murray)
April
19th- Santee State Park (an overnight/campout excursion too?)
May
10th- A visit to the Junkyard @ Florence....
We may also have the "Pee Dee Rodders" popping up on the calender too!
Most of these dates look good for me. I think maybe on the March 22 and April 19 GTG I will make a weekend of camping out of it. Hook up 5th wheel and roll on... I would suggest anyone else that may have a tent or TT and enjoy a weekend out hook up and roll on too.... Both these State parks have websites that you can reserve your spot....
SteveKran A big welcome to the SC Chapter. Very glad to have you join any GTG anytime....
PS Rich I wont be able to make it on the 16th. I am Daytona bound.
Sorry kind of a one in a life time chance to do the Daytona thing with a bunch of friends.

Welcome to Ford-Trucks Enthusiasts and the South Carolina Chapter, Steve!
Mike its no biggy... I maybe Ocala bound myself...
Leaves me a bit of time to think on it too... (still accepting ideas too...hint hint)

What do your "U-Pull it" events normally consist of? I'm looking to do an 07 front end conversion on my truck right now. I've already got the grill ordered. Just need the bumper, header panel, and headlights. (2003 F250)
I should be able to make it to the 22nd meet. My birthday is the following day. I will make sure to bring the boat if the weather is nice. Dreher Island is just down the road from me.

I am game! Steve You know it would be a tie! Ford VS Ford
Rich: I found a local parts yard Called Tuners in Timmonsville, SC a few miles down the road from us. They are mostly new Trucks most likely would not have anything for older models but you never know.
You might want to call them and talk to them since you are the SC lead.

Well I've been talking with a couple people on ford-trucks.com and it looks like we are going to try to have a meet and greet at Pine Island on Lake Murray in the next month or two. I've got to talk with the president of Pine Island to get potential dates/costs but I don't see why this couldn't be a dual forum GTG. LOL If I'm breaking any "club rules" stop me now. Remember, these are all Ford guys....only difference is they all have a powerstroke under the hood.
Let me know where the junk yard g2gs will be. I doubt Ill drive to the upstate to rummage around for 73-79 parts but if its fairly close I might. I will deffinately be at the Santee g2g if we have it. Heads up...dont bring your boat because santee is missing a crucial element for boats...water. Last I saw it was 9' low. That 9 FEET not 9 inches. They are fixing the locks on the lower lake and its not scheduled to begin raising it until mid 09. Regardless a g2g will be fun.
