Fuel in Crankcase

Im still getting a considerable amount of fuel leaking into my crankcase.

I did injectors (stage 1's), on a shop recommendation to fix my leak, only to find out that injectors shouldnt be the cause of that problem anyways.

Oh well, I wanted injectors already, so not that big a deal.

Anyways, if someone could shed some light on this dilution problem of mine, I would really, really, appreciate it. These 1000-1500km oil changes are ketting pricey.

Thanks

No.

Could that do it? Over pressure? Not sure I follow.

I don,t know if it could be the problem or not but I was reading a post not to long ago about someone leaking fuel from under the fuel pump? I wonder if the pump somehow is leaking into your motor?

bnine, injectors can definately be the problem and I would bet the bank it is. If you did the DIY kit, the pink oring is the only thing separating the fuel rail from the HPOP rail. My guess is that you either didn't get one or more injectors fully seated in the cup. Or one of the orings was damaged on install. But yes, injectors can certainly cause fuel in the oil. The only other way is a head cracked badly.

I have never dissected a fuel pump but I believe they would leak fuel into the crank case as well. How do you know its fuel? is it making oil? smell? just wondering.

Add low compression into the mix.

it could very well be the fuel pump, have seen it on many older gas motors. the pump design is the same on the 94-97 strokers as on cars from the 40's-late 70's

I was in the exact same boat as you when I bought my pickup. All signs pointed to the injectors. I got stage 1's and it didn't entirely fix it. My fuel pump was the other contributor. Once I replaced the pump, no more fuel in the oil. It was leaking around the tappet.

Ok, that makes sense.

Still pretty new to these, I didn't realize they ran a mechanical pump.

I'll try that next. Any good tips on where to get a quality one besides the dealer?

Napa, autozone, advanced auto. Carter is the OEM maker and most of the parts stores will also carry a Carter pump. Bosch and airtex ow make them but they just started so no track record on them yet.

Thanks Tim. I'll make sure to confirm a carter when I hit my local parts outfit.
