Looking for opinions on a build up

I just pulled a 429 out of a '73 T-bird. I plan on building it up and swapping it into my 78 F-150 down the road. I already have a basic idea of what I'm going to do with it and all. I'm going to shoot for about 400hp and about 500lbs torque. I'm just curious how you guys (and gals) would go about doing this. What brands would you use and would you do anything special to it? Just looking for other peoples inputs. Thanks in advance.

Please don't pull out in front of me! I can't afford to play "What's this?" with you or your car.

Looking for opinions on a build up

To start off, had you got a 70-71 429 you would have already been close with 360-380 HP stock.
Besides a hotter cam and straigh up timing chain and gears ,Maybe have a look at the Ford Perfomance Book by :Pat Ganahl

About the actual swap, there are many posts on the 67-79 forum already in progress.
