Codes 1131 and 1151 - Warranty Coverage?

Greetings - I have a 2002 XLT with the 4.2l V6. Nice truck. Recently it got very cold here in WI (around minus 10F). The check engine light is came on. After some research I think it may be the problem described in TSB 05-22-6. My question is this: Could this be covered under the Emission Warranty? The TSB reads "Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage And Emissions Warranty Coverage". I have about 63K miles on the truck.

Thanks for any advice. This is my first post and I'm looking forward to learning a lot from you guys!

Dave

Pull your owner's manual out of the glovebox and read what the terms of that actual emissions warranty is.

My prediction is "no".

Hi Dave. Welcome to FTE!

I think Steve is probably correct. But, as he mentioned, you should be able to check your Owner's Manual and find info regarding what is covered under the emissions warranty.

Glad to have you here. Hope you enjoy it and find it helpful.

edit to add: I just looked up the 2002 Owner's Manual. Check pages 10-14 of the Warranty Guide
