help with a door hinge

I'm replacing my upper driverside door hinge. On my 46 Ford truck rivets to the door from factory. What can I use instead of the rivet?

is the hinge actually shot? or just the pin? as i have never removed my hinges, i do not know if tapered bolt will fit. perhaps a flat sided machine bolt. i don't know of anything other than rivet that fits. it's probably out there. you could grind the head round on a bolt.

Yea well the hinge on my truck is all mishapped. So I need a new one. Got a good used hinge. Just seeing if someone had another way of attaching it to the do other than the rivet. I have never done a Rivet like that

did a little digging in catalogs, nothing. it appears that a shoulder bolt would be best. can't say you won't have to grind face down a bit. just don't get it too hot. grind a little, dip in water to cool, grind a little, and so on.
