And no new injectors are easy to install. I took my factory ones out to replace the o-rings. All you have to do is take of the valve covers and there are 2 bolts I believe for each injector. it took me about 5 hours to do it and that was the first time I did it.
Icebox beat me to it. For me it was $500 with new intensifier pistons and shipping. I still need to send the old pistons back fo the rebate.
what did that do to your fuel mielage? im curious to know if it makes it any better or worse. I'm only getting 12 now so i really cant afford to take a hit in the fuel mielage category
I've only had the truck out for 3 really short runs since the upgrade. Tomorrow I'll be driving it to work, so that's 90 miles round trip. Maybe I'll get some idea then... I do know there's a LOT more ponies and plenty of smoke if you do things right.
Without tuning the fuel increase will be minimal IMHO. Stage ones still have stock nozzles.
Ditto on the top bolt. It's not that hard to do this project. Just make sure that you clean the combustion chambers out and that you hear the "pop" when you put the injectors in.
