Air/Fuel meter

Has any one used one of these and how do you like it. I want to use it as a tuning tool.

ReAX is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.ReAX is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
There are two types, narrow band and wide band. Narrow band is much cheaper and you can tap your stock o2 sensors for the signal. Wide band takes a new sensor and the cheapest wide band system I have seen is $250.

That said, I have a narrow band autometer gauge mounted in a pillar and love it. I do want a wide band gauge for tuning, but I wouldn't run one all the time.

Look, see these two tow hooks? They look like tusks. And what kind of animal has tusks?

there's a very fine line between not listening, and not caring. I like to think that I walk that line every day of my life.

I love guages and data graphs to interperet. I've read enuff about the ones that tap the stock sensors. It's just another load on the circuit that wasn't calibrated into the parameters. I want to see if mine hunts for stoic and what the a/f ratio for things like driving crowd curves, W.O.T. and decel. Also if I retune the ECU and/or change components I want to see what's happening accurately. I still remember what a fuel curve is supposed to be. 15 years at Holley carb and almost the same at GM. One used f/a and the othera/f to express ratios.

It sounds like you want more than just a guage. Check out innovatemotorsports.com, they have some datalogging stuff that will be up your ally. When sniper ships their recon, that would also be a great way to get this info and if you purchase the Special forces package with datalogging and a wide band interface, you can build your own tunes with a degree of precision.

I am waiting for the datalogging upgrade for my system before I invest in a wide band sensor.

Thanx. I'll give it a try. I even found a shift light I can program for different points. With that I should be able to do some interesting stuff.
