Who thinks...

That whatever is done to the 5.4 for '09 would be carried over to the V10 as well? Say if they made the 5.4 4 valves per clinder, would they do that to the V10? Im assuming that they will seeing how the 5.4 and the V10 are pratically the same motors accept for a few things such as number of cylinders and compression ratio, ect ect. Makes sense doesn't it?

Yes, it got the 3V heads after the 5.4 did. It's all part of the modular design.

3V heads but no VVT.

(which may be a good thing considering cam phaser problems)

Who says they're going to do anything to the 5.4? They might just leave it like it is with a very small boost in HP if anything at all. I'm not expecting much at all.
I think Ford may just be holding us off until they come out with the Diesel and the 6.2 boss.

I really don't think that they will leave the 5.4 untouched. Unfortunately they have to do something to compete with the other truck makers.

No, I doubt it.
For some reason FORD likes all kind of confusion, they have every motor with 2v/3v/4v options. They still make the V10 2v also. The V-10 did not get 3v untill 05
My guess :They leave as is untill 2010 , New in house diesel, new gas options, V-10=?

So maybe an extra wait of year time could be possible like before. What are they still putting the 2 valve V10 into?

E-series vans / Motorhomes get the 2v
