can't find damn block heater.

Ok i feel like an idiot. I have a 97 e-350 superduty. I checked by the oil filter and it has an orange cord that turns black and goes into a wiring harness that goes under the brake booster and disappears . I can't see it. I checked all over by the grill and chassis rails. I don't see anything. Does anyone know where this ? I'm guessing it was never used becuase i can't find it. Does anyone know where this s.o.b is?

Thank You

i called dealer up and they said it would be on the drivers side by the tow hook. doesn't have a tow hook. Still can't find it. I don't think it was ever used because they say they are hard to find of they were never used. I took the grill off and still don't see it. There's an airbag sensor but that's about it.

ok going to check now. I don't know why they do dumb stuff for example the wire coming off the heater is orange about 10 inches out it turns black. It would be easier to find if it was black. I'kk be back in 1/2 hour.\

thanks

Yeah!! i found it. You were right Madvan! The cord was never used. It isn't even long enought to make it to the grill. One Ford dealer was so rude. He was talking over me saying" Look near the grill," over and over. The other dude gave me F truck info.

Have some guy coming from TN to buy the bus. Now i don't want to sell it. I sold it too cheap $2500 alcoa bud wheels 237miles and the tranny works xcellent. Oh well maybe he won't want it.

thanks again MAdvan and everyone.

Don't know about the E-version but Damn it was hard to find mine too, looked for weeks. Mine was tie-wraped in about 3 different places and once I cut those I was able to pull it well behond the front grill. Kind of like when you purchase any power cord from a store.
