steering wheel

I want to replace my stock steering wheel with a aftermaket steering wheel . Does anyone know the stock steering shaft dia. My truck is a 78 f150 4x4 with tilt.

I think when you buy an after mareket steering wheel,it will say what it fit's.

you can buy any wheel, but they sell adapters that will fit your vehicle.

Just picked up a "Grant" brand basic steering wheel for our '75 F250. The store also sells the adapter kits. Basically where you find the wheels? Should also sell or be able to get the correct adapter kit. Have to do ours, the stock wheel is a very large size...and so am I LOL. So we went with a smaller wheel. Read the directions with the wheel and the install kit for details. You'll probably also need a wheel puller as well. Should be able to find one for under ten bucks normally.
