new 460??
hey i am pretty sure that i do have a 460. it looks like the timing cover is a part that come off and is not cast into the block. it is also damn huge, that is what i am going on. the motor mounts look like they have been altered and it sounds like a big block. anyway assuming it is a 460, i want to get a new one or rebuild this one. my buddy told me that i can buy a complete running motor at a junkyard for cheap, is this true? he told me that most junkyards will start the motor so that you can listen to it. i am looking for a cheap way to get a nice motor and all of that so i need some help. i am kidna new to this and could not rebuild a motor by myself. what are my options? i would like to do it this summer and i need some help. you people have been nothing but help so far and i thank you for taking the time to read this and help me.
