Where are the rest of the choices? XLT is not the first choice. I consider the XLT to be the top of the line for a truck. Any more that an XLT features is a no longer a truck and screams sucker imo.
Your missing a few trim levels there XL, STX, and King Ranch. Depending on the #'s Ford comes out with my dad might end up buying an 09 this year or an left over 08.

I have a Roush F150 FX4, and I don't consider myself a sucker. It's been worth every penny to have a truck that can carry a load, carry my family, is nice enough to take my wife out to a classy restaurant, will out-corner most cars (including many sports cars) and will blow away that majority of things on the road from a stop-light, or at cruising speed. It's a truck that does everything I could want in a vehicle --- its like having 3-4 vehicles rolled into one.
Frankly, calling people suckers because of which vehicle trim level they buy... pretty lame. For example, someone can afford to buy a $200,000 Bentley it doesn't make them a sucker... it just makes them wealthier than most people and there is nothing wrong with that. More power to them. If they want to enjoy the fruits life has to offer that's cool --- it creates jobs.

I'm going to have to disagree...i have a loaded lariat and I not only haul and tow things...but I regularly take clients around in my truck and thats not something I would feel comfortable doing in a xlt

I would buy an XLT if I were going to buy one. All of those packages are just ways to jack up the price. I do prefer the XLT trim package over the XL package, but I don't see the point in so many of the other advanced trim levels. I also noticed that the harley davidson edition was left off of the poll. Do they no longer make those. I hope they bring back the Lightning. Then I might be more interested in the new trucks. However, I would not buy one because they are extremely ugly! This is true of almost all of the new trucks, if you ask me.

Not for certain, I was thinking about the LT. But rumour control is that truck is out of business...and the Platinum is replacing it. If so, that's my final truck. Maybe next year, we'll see how the stock market works out, the price of gas, and what they drive out like.

An XLT has most of the power goodies without cracking leather seats and a troublesome automatic climate control. I would be quite comfortable hauling clients around in my XLT.
