86 4X4 questions.

Hi, just got a 86 Bronco II. It is a 5-speed, 4X4 with the 2.9. All stock.

I am looking for a good lift kit to fot some 31x10.50-15 on it. Do not want a body lift. I searched for a while and didnt come up with anything good. So I fugured Id ask you guys.

Need exhaust too. I looked at one that had custom exhaust and it sounded like a 5.0. It was a 2.9 though. Do Flowmasters make it sound good or what kind of pipes should I get? I want a deep throaty sound.

Ill get some pictures soon. Are there any other "must do" things for the 86 4X4s?

A must do for me would be buy a TFI module and the tools to change it and keep it in the glove box.

Nice things to do:

Clean out the heater core/ac box and put a screen over the cowl fresh air inlet.

Take up the slack in the cable on the gas pedal.

R&R the front axle shafts, both sides, to make sure you can get the spindles off if you have to.

Replace the CVJ driveshaft with a UJ shaft.

The first thing that came to mind when I read this line was and is....
PRAY.
If you are not a praying man learn to be because your fun has only just begun
Something else to do is nuy a Haynes manual and read it.
