Question new to 6.0

hello all i am new to the 6.0 scene had a cummins motor great everything around it notso my main questions are how can i tell if studs have been put in my motor the gaskets were changed in 06 the truck has the predator downloader air raid intake and silverline turbo back everything seems to run fine just curious abount the studs motor has 99554 miles

Welcome to forum. Lots of 6.0L knowledge. There is a slim chance that Ford did the swap to studs but some guys on here got lucky and had Ford put them in when their trucks went in for head gasket issues. You could try calling the dealer that did the work. Some others should be along soon.

I just had mine done. I can tell that on the driverside head you can see one nut/stud or a bolt. I dont think I ever looked at the bolts when I had them but if you look at the head, and you see a nut and not a bolt and there is an allen head on the stud, then you have studs. If it looks like a bolt, probably a bolt.

Hope that made sense, havent gotten much sleep lately.

Also, go to the dealer and get an oasis report on the truck. This will give you all the warranty work done on the vehicle.
