I was thinking that the Packers were the only team left to hopefully knock the Patriots off of their high horse, but the Giants proved to be the better team and IMO have earned the right to represent the NFC.

Go Giants !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is someone from New York rooting for the Joisey Giants??? Since the Bills are the only pro football team in your state...shouldn't you root for the Pats???

hell no!!! that would be like rooting for the Red Sucks. even the libs in NY would approve of the death penalty for that.
yes the Giants play in Jersey but look at the map...Jersey is like NY's colon. it's there, but you never talk about it unless it's getting scoped.

Hey Carl...let me respond to your post point by point.

Red Sucks!!! Red Sucks!!! Just another jealous fan of the highly overpaid Yankmees. The Yankmees should be on the "Biggest Loser"...they would be a shoo in to win!!!

Jersey is like NY's Colon...now...I don't care who you are or where you're from...that is just plain funny!!!

The reason why I am rooting for the Giants is pretty simple. I feel that the Patriots and the Cowboys (notice the DS in my sig...as in Dallas Sucks) are both just like the Yankees. The owners have enough $$$$$ to be able to afford to pay the high wages that these guys get and therefore be able to 'buy' themselves a championship.

Good point Carl..... especially Jersey looking like the colon of NY.

Hey Tiny...I don't necessarily think that is a valid arguement. Most NFL teams spend right up to the salary cap on their teams. The system is designed to reward the poorer performing teams with high draft choices in order to make them competetive...what they do with those draft choices is the key to their success. The Patriots have done a great job drafting in the past 9-10 years...thus their success. Granted there are a couple of key free agents in there...Randy Moss being the highest profile one...who help the Pats stay at or near the top of the mountain. Remember that Moss took a monster paycut in order to sign with the Pats. The Patriots...for the most part...have avoided signing the elite free agents...instead spending a lot of money on "second level" players. Guys that aren't quite as good as your starters...but who are very good and fit into the system and are willing to fulfill their roll.
I think if you check...and I haven't...the Giants are pretty close to the salary cap also.

Valid point. I guess that part of it is that I am getting sick and tired of hearing nothing but the Patriots did this, the Patriots did that....

Either way, I hope that it will be a good game and not a one sided a$$ whooping. May the better team win.
