My best so far has been -10*f last year in NH.
No plugin. Started right up but was a little stiff/sluggish .
Love the 30wt in winter.
If i remember ford recommends it at 0*f

Synthetic oil and leaving the glowplugs heat for about 30 seconds after the wait to start light worked for me +3F this morning.

I like that stack as well!! nice vid!! I am a sissy for plugging in. Been plugged in for the last 3 weeks on a timer! its only 3 miles to the church so my truck never gets a chance to come close to warming up!

a 10k mod also helps with cold starting. More fuel quicker = quicker start.

I've got an edge evo.. so a 10K mod won't help me much.. at least I wouldn't think so..

Man, I wish I could get my '95 F350 to start in those temps. I have to plug in if the truck is going to be shut down for more than 4 to 6 hours and hope that the power stays on. Loss of power = No heat = SCREWED! I start having cold, no start problems around 40degrees. I had all new GP's and a new relay installed last winter, however I'm not seeing the voltage drop that I saw all summer.

Sounds like a relay problem.

I didn't start my truck since Sun. night and the high was in the teens today with a sunny sky. Tonight temps even colder.
I don't plug in my truck since I can't. I went out to start it this eve and I let the GPs cycle for the full two minutes.
I almost thought the batteries were dead. I had to crank it over a couple of different instances cycling the key from run to start and then off.

So, tonight I took advantage of my alarm's setting and the truck starts every two hours and runs for 9 minutes. Waste of fuel but keeps the truck able.

Maybe I should drop in the 14k for the cold winter?

Anyone with a Chip notice easier starting times in the cold a** winter?
